No. MPM is not tied to any professional society or organization. You only need to pay the conference registration fee to attend.
Travel/in-person registration scholarship applications are usually announced early in the year with a due date in February. Announcements will be made on the main page.

We will do our best to work with MBL staff to honor your housing choices. Please understand that we are limited for housing and would like to be able to invite all interested applicants.
Our conference program uses Eastern Standard Time (EST) for all sessions or event times. We have done our best to schedule sessions to be accessible to a wide range of time zones. The session schedule will be posted on the website later in the summer.
Talk presentations should be no more than 12 minutes followed by 2-3 minutes for questions.
Teaser talks: You will be provided with 4 minutes to briefly present the background and essential data of your research. Please only prepare 5 slides and resist the temptation to cram in all your data, be sure to direct us to your poster session and number. There will be no questions from the audience following your talk.
We plan to record all oral presentations for meeting attendees to view at a later time-point.
In person posters should be no bigger than 42” width x 60” height.
Virtual posters will be presented by Zoom. Presenters also need to upload their poster as a PDF file by Sunday (Sept. 15, 2024) by noon time (EST time).
