Dear Colleagues, Friends, and Fellow Parasitologists,
We would like to announce the opening of registration for the 36th Molecular Parasitology Meeting (MPM XXXVI).
WHEN: Sunday September 14 to Thursday September 18, 2025
WHERE: Marine Biological Laboratory in Woods Hole, MA (USA) and on Zoom
HOW TO REGISTER: Go to https://www.parasitesrule.com/mpm-xxxvi
This meeting will be held at the MBL in Woods Hole. We also offer virtual attendance and the opportunity to present in a virtual poster session for those who cannot attend in person. MPM XXXVI will continue to cover diverse aspects of parasite biology, including molecular biology, biochemistry, cell biology, drug development and targets, host-parasite interactions, and methodological innovations.
Talks will be selected from submitted abstracts, with an emphasis on outstanding, mostly unpublished science and program balance. As in past years, we will prioritize talks and posters presented by junior scientists (students and postdocs) to give them the opportunity to showcase their best work to a large and diverse parasitology audience.
We will also have our annual keynote talk celebrating an individual who has made a long-term contribution to molecular parasitology through mentoring, leadership, and research with sustained impact in their field. This year, our keynote speaker is Dr. Patricia Johnson, Distinguished Professor of Microbiology, Immunology & Molecular Genetics at the University of California, Los Angeles. Her laboratory has made seminal contributions to the cellular and molecular biology of T. vaginalis. Dr. Johnson has been recognized for her contributions as a recipient of the Alice and C.C. Wang ASBMB Award in Molecular Parasitology and as an elected fellow of the American Academy of Microbiology and the National Academy of Sciences.
The abstract submission deadline is June 27. 2025. The abstract submission deadline is the same for in-person talks, posters, and online poster presentations. To submit your scientific abstract, you will first need to register, and then you will be redirected to the abstract submission page. After registration, you will receive an email containing your personal confirmation code, which you will need to enter to submit your scientific abstract.
We are pleased to offer virtual registration fee waivers for scientists based at institutions in low and middle-income countries (LMICs). LMIC status is determined by the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development. The fee waiver is built into the registration form.
